Installing Raspberry Pi Connect

  1.  Get raspberry pi working and install raspberry pi connect.
    For this step you need to connect your raspberry pi to a monitor, keyboard and mouse and power it up.  This step assumes you have already installed the Operating system onto an sd card.
    The documentation to install raspberry pi connect is here.
  2. You also need a raspberry pi ID.  That is available here. 
  3. Now you need to set up the wi-fi connection on your laptop and on your pi.  You need to allow your phone to act as a wifi hotspot on your phone. Iphone Instructions.  Android instructions
  4. From the previous instructions you should have a hotspot name and a password for your hotspot.  Now you need to set up the wifi connection on your laptop and pi.

  5. If you have done all the instructions above you should now be able to go to a browser on any machine and connect to your pi using a remote connection.  Test this by connecting at https://connect.raspberrypi.com/devices and once you have it working you no longer need your Pi physically connected to a monitor, or keyboard or mouse you can simply use the laptop.
